On the 23rd of May at the unveiling of the fifth commemorative plaque in the Scott Sutherland Commando Memorial Heritage Trail the Arbroath Division of the Royal marines Volunteer Cadet Corps presented the project committee with a cheque for £350. They had raised the money at the recent pass out parade in Royal Marines Condor. Commanding Officer, Colour Sergeant Lisa Robb and 2i/c Sergeant Carolyn Scott said; "We're delighthed to support such a worthwhile project. We all owe Scott Sutherland a great deal for what he did when he designed the Commando Memorial."
Colonel Barry Barnwell OBE RD thanked them on behalf of the committee for their generous support.
