Major Funding Boost to Scott Sutherland Project

The team are delighted to recognise the endorsement of the project by the national office of the RMA - The Royal Marines Charity.

Acknowledging the cultural and heritage importance of the planned monument to be dedicated to the Officers and Men who were killed or seriously wounded during Commando Training in Scotland - the project has been awarded a grant of £10,000.

The Project Committee were meeting at Dunkeld when the news of the generous grant was received and all present agreed that it indicated the importance of the project to the story of the Commando heritage and at the same time recognising one of Scotland's greatest artists.

An excellent start to 2024 and the concluding phase of the project.
